Roy Hraiki

Roy Hraiki is Director, Casualty for Swiss Reinsurance Company, based in Sydney. Roy has been at Swiss Re for four years and is head of the Casualty Treaty Underwriting team. Roy is responsible for portfolio management and all aspects of casualty treaty underwriting. He also supports the development of customised reinsurance products. Roy’s insurance career began over 16 years ago at General Re where he worked for six years as a Treaty Underwriter, specialising in Casualty. Following this, Roy spent time at FAI and GIO. In 1999 he returned to reinsurance joining Munich Re as Senior Casualty Underwriter, before moving to Swiss Re four years later. Roy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Marketing double major) from the University of NSW. He is a Fellow of the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, and a past member of the Insurance Council of Australia’s national committees on Motor Compulsory Third Party, and Workers Compensation.
